RLW Bayou Salado

"in the hands of hard men in an evil hour"

Date: POSTPONED

Start Time: 8:00 am (this could be moved to 7:00 am depending on participants)

Start Location: Official start at the Parking Lot at the skate rink in Breckenridge, Colorado

Distance: 100 miles

End Location: Salida, Colorado

Road Conditions: Mostly Gravel

Pass thru Hamlets: Como and Hartsel

How are we going to do it: Route maps and cue sheets to be provided (upon request). The route is based on the Adventure Cycling Association GDR map which is available here. You can get the cue sheets from The Alpine Bicycle Club here (Leg #1 and #2). No markers will be on the course. You must have some navigational skills.

Race or not: This will depend. Get a team together and come partake in the Gentleman's Race or ride with the laughing group bringing up the rear. We will be keeping track of City limit sprints for possible prizing.

Support: I or any other person affiliated with the event will NOT provide support to riders during the event. There will be NO aid stations! Plan on being able to ride 50 miles before resupply is available. We will be riding in a HIGH mountain park so plan accordingly.

Transportation: Plan your own way our of Salida! There will be NO sag vehicles to bring you back to Breckenridge. Also, there will be NO sag vehicle to bring clothes/camping gear/etc to Salida from Breckenridge. Please make sure you make prior arrangements.

Lodging: This will depend on participants. There are many options from Hotels to Hostels.

THIS IS AN UNSUPPORTED EVENT IN THE ROCKY MOUNTAINS ON PRIMARILY GRAVEL ROADS.

YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOU!
